Who we are
AI Connect for Volvo is operated by Oggel Codelabs, Netherlands. We are the controller for the personal data described here. Contact: mathijs@oggel-codelabs.nl.
What we store
- Your account: name, email address and a hashed password.
- OAuth tokens issued by Volvo ID, encrypted at rest, used only to read your vehicles.
- Your vehicles: VIN, model, model year, fuel type, gearbox, colour.
- Vehicle readings: odometer, fuel, trip statistics, service status, fluid levels, door, window, lock and engine state, tyre and light warnings, with the moment the car reported them.
- A hash of your MCP token and when it was issued.
What we do not store
Your Volvo ID password, and your car's location. The service does not request location scopes, and holds no permission to send commands to your car.
Why
To show you your car's data and its history, and to answer your AI assistant's questions about it. The legal basis is the contract with you (the service you signed up for).
Who can see it
Only you, and any AI assistant you explicitly connect with your personal token. We do not share readings with anyone else, and we do not use them for advertising or profiling.
Where it lives
On servers in the European Union. Backups follow the same rules.
How long
For as long as your account exists, because the history is the point. Deleting your account deletes your readings, vehicles and tokens. Disconnecting Volvo ID deletes the OAuth tokens and stops all reading.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access, correction, export or deletion at any time, and you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
