Volvo AI Connect for Volvo

Your Volvo, readable by your AI assistant.

AI Connect for Volvo connects your Volvo to the AI assistant you already use. Sign in with your Volvo ID, and your car's readings become available through a Model Context Protocol server that Claude, Cursor and other MCP-capable assistants can query. Ask how far you drove last month, when the next service is due, or whether the coolant level has ever dropped, and get an answer from the car's own numbers.

How it works

  1. Create an account and sign in with your Volvo ID. Volvo shows you exactly which read-only permissions you grant.
  2. We read your car through the official Volvo Cars Connected Vehicle API every hour and keep one reading per moment the car reported.
  3. Issue a personal token and add the endpoint to your assistant. From then on it can answer questions about your car.

What it reads

What it derives

From the series of readings the connector works out kilometres per day and per month, detects refuels from fuel-level jumps, projects the date of the next service, and keeps a history of every warning and when it first appeared. The assistant gets numbers, not guesses.

What it does not do

The AI connection is read-only. It cannot lock, unlock, start the engine or send any other command to your car, and it does not request location data. Your readings are yours: they are not shared, sold or used for anything but answering your own questions.

Which cars

Every Volvo that works with the Volvo Cars app: cars with Volvo On Call from model year 2010 onwards, and cars with Google built-in from model year 2020. What exactly is available depends on the model and year.
